The Steventon Family
The Steventon family came to us for their shoot after one of their friends or family members purchased them a photoshoot voucher with us as a gift. They had bags of enthusiasm and we created some amazing portraits for them.
The family brought along their dog Lola (dogs are always a hit with us photographers) and we got some great images of them all together, furry friends included. We also allowed plenty of time for various groupings and shots, this meant we could capture some lovely shots of the girls individually, mom and dad together and not forgetting Lola's solo moment, she's a star!
The Steventon's had thought about what they were going to wear in their images well in advance and this really shows well in the images. As a result, everyone's outfits were coordinated and ready to go. Because of this, when you look at these photographs, your eyes are not distracted by mix-match colours or patterns. Instead we can focus on the people and the great expressions on everyone's faces.
During their pre-shoot consultation, they mentioned that they love Black & White images. We advised them to bring along black tops as these would look fantastic against our signature dark background images. The family also expressed their DEEP love for Harry Potter (Well, everyone apart from Lee/Dad). With this in mind we captured some awesome spell-binding images whilst still maintaining a classic & timeless feel.
It's great to bring along props or items that represent hobbies or interests of the family, it helps to make your images extra personal and the results are always great.
